At Future Med Regenerative Medicine Center, Dr. Qualtire performs amniotic fluid stem cell injections to treat a variety of painful musculoskeletal conditions, primarily osteoarthritis of the foot and ankle joints, and tendonitis of the achilles and other tendons of the foot and ankle.
This type of therapy is relatively new in the field of regenerative medicine and is both cutting-edge and effective. Dr. Qualtire is excited to be able to bring this modern therapy option to his patients.
The primary aim of regenerative medicine therapy is to help the cells of the body replace damaged cells with new healthy cells. Our amniotic fluid injections contain a variety of essential growth factors that assist in healing the damaged tissue.
WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?
Our injections DO NOT come from fetal tissues such as might come from an abortion. This therapy is not to be confused with embryonic stem cell therapy, which is fetal in nature.
In our injections, the amniotic fluid, and any retained stem cells, are obtained from scheduled C-sections where the fluid in the umbilical cord and placental tissues is typically medically discarded after the birth.
ARE AMNIOTIC FLUID INJECTIONS SAFE?
Yes. Tens of thousands of these injections have been performed without any reported adverse incidents. All amniotic fluid donors go through an extensive evaluation process by the FDA and the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). These injections DO NOT cause rejection reactions from the recipient patient.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS of AMNIOTIC FLUID?
The clinical benefits of Amniotic Fluid are impressive
There are over 200 growth factors that are involved in tissue healing and regeneration. Out injections contain many of the most important of these growth factors.
- Safe, non-steroidal alternative to surgery
- Anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial
- All natural and drug-free
- Contains more than 200 growth factors
- Reduced recovery time
- Painful joints and/or arthritis
- Soft tissue injury (tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff)
- Spinal injury
CONDITIONS TREATED WITH AMNIOTIC FLUID STEM CELL INJECTIONS
- Sports Injuries
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles Insertional Tendonitis
- Heel Pain
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR THESE INJECTIONS?
Most patients are good candidates for Amniotic Fluid Injections. If you are suffering pain of your foot and ankle, these treatments may be for you.
WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR THESE INJECTIONS?
Unfortunately, Medicare and private insurers do not cover these injections at this time. These treatments are cutting-edge medicine, and there are considerable costs involved in harvesting and processing these injectables. Therefore, a typical treatment protocol may cost between $1,000 and $3,000. This is an investment in your health that may help you keep active and moving and delay or eliminate the need for invasive surgery.
PERSONALIZED APPROACH TO TREATING YOUR PAIN
We are different from the usual Orthopedic office Experience!
At FutureMed Regenerative Medicine Center, we believe in a POSITIVE PATIENT EXPERIENCE. You will not be shuffled between nurses and PA’s, and only see the doctor for a brief minute such as is the experience at many Orthopedic Surgeon offices.
Dr. Qualtire personally evaluates all patients and spends time with each one of them to discuss the treatments that will work best for you. We believe this PERSONALIZED MEDICINE approach is essential to understanding your condition as an individual.
